SAM® Splint, Universal
The SAM® Splint Universal is a lightweight, moldable splint built for rapid immobilization in clinical, athletic training, and emergency settings. At its core is a thin sheet of aluminum sandwiched between two layers of closed-cell foam - a design that lets the splint be bent, rolled, or folded by hand into virtually any shape, then holds firm once molded to the injury.
Because it conforms rather than requiring a pre-set shape, one splint can support a wide range of injury types and body parts, including wrists, forearms, elbows, ankles, and lower legs. It's radiolucent, so it can stay in place through X-ray imaging without being removed first.
- Bends and molds by hand - no tools or heat required
- Radiolucent core allows X-ray imaging without removal
- Can be trimmed to size with scissors for a custom fit
- Lightweight, reusable, and easy to wipe down between uses
- Available in 9", 18", and 36" lengths
- Available in Charcoal or Orange/Blue
A staple for athletic trainers, physical and occupational therapists, EMS providers, and clinics that need dependable, ready-to-use splinting on hand. Please Note: The 36" length may ship rolled or folded, depending on availability at the time of shipment. Packaging format does not affect performance or function.
