How Vibration Therapy on VibePlate Works
VibePlate is a stable, stationary vibration platform. Unlike other whole body vibration platforms, VibePlate’s vibration motion is vertical only. With VibePlate's vertical-only vibrations, there is no wobble, no side to side movement, and no circular motion, therefore eliminating stress. VibePlate's vertical vibration enhances the already-existing gravity which creates clinical and training compression needed to excite the nerves, mobilize joints and strengthen muscles to enhance function.
The Whole Body Vibration (WBV) VibePlate imposes hyper-gravity activity within muscles which produces short, quick alterations in tendon-muscle complexes, stimulating muscle spindles and nerve cells. In turn, muscles have a reflex reaction as they try to dampen vibratory waves. In addition to empirical results of physical vibration therapy, electromyography (EMG) tests have conclusively supported the ability of WBV therapy to enhance physical therapy programs by improving: Flexibility, Strength, Endurance, Bone density profiles, Hormone profiles including serotonin and human growth hormone, Cardiovascular and circulatory measures, Balance, Gait, and Posture. The VibePlate also decreases joint pain, encourages lymph drainage, and develops coordination to help reduce the risk of falling.
The VibePlate's speed can be adjusted from 10-60 hertz for different exercises. For example, low levels have been proven to help increase lymphatic drainage, mid range speeds help issues such as osteoporoses, and higher ranges can reduce joint pain and enhance muscle strength.
The VibePlate is built to last and is 100% made in the USA, from Lincoln, Nebraska.
“ 'More results in half the time. Increase muscle strength twice as fast. Cut recovery time in half.' These claims sound to good to be true. But when it comes to Whole Body Vibration (WBV), more strength, more speed, rapid recovery, increased flexibility and coordination are all possible. By standing on the VibePlate, the body automatically adjusts to the vibrations and produces a stretch reflex, causing the repeated contraction of postural and stabilization muscles up to 3600 times per minute.”
